Breweries

Bent Stick brewing

Bent Stick Brewing is a partnership of four passionate craft beer professionals located in Edmonton, Alberta.

They brew small batches of beer packaged in big bottles, brewed by four people who vary in size!

situation brewing

Situation Brewing Company is dedicated to crafting small batch, interesting craft beers in our onsite brewery.  Come in for a tour, meet the Brewer, sign up for a workshop.  Enjoy a glass of beer and some non-traditional pub food in our restaurant

blind enthusiasm

The Blind Enthusiasm Craft Brewery exists because of our deep love of beer. We’re enthusiastically proving our point by building a showpiece brewery from the ground up to be our temple of brewing. We’re also building an offsite (but nearby) barrel house to host one of Canada’s largest barrel and sour beer programs.

Focused on the long term, Blind Enthusiasm is all about quality and exploration. We will take our time to make great beer, the right way, and anything that doesn’t match our exacting standards will never see the light of day.

Alley Kat

Alley Kat is the 4th oldest brewery in Alberta, with a current capacity of 18,000 hectoliters (5.1 million bottles) annually. Each brew is done as a small batch so we can keep a close eye on a brew’s quality. Wherever possible Alley Kat works with local products and local suppliers.

Brewsters

Brewsters believes that every beer should share a story and every story should share a beer. When it comes to Brewsters, the beer is their story, and their restaurants are the stage. Brewsters Brewing Company & Restaurant was founded in 1989, way before small-batch brewing was the trend it is today. As a second-generation family business, their batches aren’t as small as they once were, but the idea that got them started is the idea that still drives them today – combine beer that’s brewed with passion with an outstanding dining experience. That formula has led them to where they are today – one of Alberta’s longest-standing local breweries with 11 restaurants throughout Calgary, Edmonton and Airdrie.

Yellowhead brewing

Home to one of the most unique event spaces, Yellowhead is located in the historic Shaw Building, where they can host weddings, corporate events, and everything in between. They have a true appreciation for everything local, even down to their name; Yellowhead was a famous Iroquois-Metis native named Pierre Bostonais with unusually blonde hair.

Distilleries

STRATHCONA SPIRITS DISTILLERY

We are Edmonton's first distillery, not since prohibition, but ever.  We distill an expanding line of fine spirits that embody the essence of Alberta by using locally farmed and foraged grains and botanicals. Our tiny boomtown building in the heart of Old Strathcona is the smallest distillery in North America

HANSEN DISTILLERY

Hansen Distillery is an Edmonton-based family-run craft distillery that prides itself on producing quality products using ingredients sourced from Alberta. All of our spirits are made right, right here in Alberta.

RIG HAND CRAFT DISTILLERY

Rig Hand Craft Distillery is in the unique position of being the first craft distillery in the greater Edmonton area.  Incorporated in December, 2014, our family business makes over 30 products including vodka, flavoured vodkas, rum, whisky, bourbon, scotch, rye, gin, schnapps and coffee cream liqueur. We use all locally sourced input products.  Our main grain supplier is Great West Farms, a fourth generation farm, located two miles from the distillery.  Our products are packaged in a distinctive trademarked bottle that is a replica of the Leduc #1 drilling rig, paying tribute to our rich history of both agriculture and resource development in Alberta.
